Most of us have experienced it at some point — a problem that keeps repeating no matter how hard we try to fix it. Money gets stuck. Relationships hit the same wall. Career growth stalls despite every effort. We visit doctors, counselors, and lawyers, and still nothing shifts. On this episode of The HJ Show, host Harsh Joshi sits down with Dr. Dhara Jain — an energy healer who has worked with over 10,000 clients globally — for one of the most thought-provoking conversations the show has hosted.

What is Energy Healing — Really?
Dr. Jain explains energy healing as a therapeutic process where a person’s aura is cleansed without physical touch. When the aura is balanced, the individual naturally begins to feel more grounded, calm, and unblocked. It sounds abstract — until she breaks down what a “blockage” actually is. Blockages, she explains, can be spiritual, psychological, or rooted in past life karma. They manifest in the body as muscle tension, hormonal imbalance, and in life as stalled finances, broken relationships, or career plateaus.
The Seven Chakras — and What Happens When They’re Off
The conversation covers the human chakra system — over 1008 chakras exist in the body, but the seven primary ones govern everything from our organs to our emotional state. When a specific chakra is imbalanced, the blockage shows up in the corresponding area of life. A blocked heart chakra, for instance, creates relationship issues. Imbalances in lower chakras affect finances and grounding. Dr. Jain also introduces the concept of the Merkaba — a diamond-shaped energy field that surrounds the entire body — and the Billionaire Chakra located beneath the feet, where proper grounding makes blockages nearly impossible.
Trauma — The Silent Root Cause
One of the most powerful parts of the conversation is Dr. Jain’s breakdown of trauma. She defines trauma not as dramatic events alone, but as unresolved wounds — episodes from childhood or adulthood that were never properly processed or healed. These wounds quietly shape our adult behavior, relationships, and even physical health. She shares the case of a young woman who had been sexually assaulted at the age of 13 by a relative. The wound went unspoken for years. By the time she reached adulthood, even normal human touch from family members triggered intense fear. Over the course of a year of energy healing, that trauma was completely resolved — and she is today happily married.
Trauma also passes between generations. Dr. Jain describes what she calls transgenerational trauma — a pattern, mindset, or wound that moves from grandparents to parents to children without anyone consciously realizing it. A poverty mindset is a perfect example. When a grandfather believed he could never earn beyond a certain level, that belief was passed down, quietly embedding itself into the financial reality of the generations that followed.
Pitra Dosh, Soul Contracts & Why We Choose Our Parents
The conversation moves into territory that challenges conventional thinking. Dr. Jain explains Pitra Dosh — an ancestral imbalance — and makes the striking observation that ancestral properties almost always take longer to sell because the energy of those who lived there remains attached. Healing the ancestors and fulfilling their unfulfilled wishes, she says, is often what finally allows the transaction to happen.
Perhaps the most striking concept discussed is that of soul contracts. According to Dr. Jain, before we are born, our soul makes agreements — about which family to enter, which relationships to experience, which karmas to resolve. She uses the example of the Nirbhaya case to illustrate this: that soul, she believes, chose the experience it went through in order to awaken mass consciousness around women’s safety in India. It is a deeply uncomfortable idea — but also one that reframes suffering as purposeful rather than random.
Reiki, Lama Fera and Shamanism — Three Modalities, Three Miracles
Dr. Jain has trained in over 70 healing modalities. She shares case studies from three of the most powerful. In Reiki, she describes bringing a woman back from a coma of two to three years within just three months of healing. The woman’s own son — a doctor — had told the family to prepare for the worst. Today, six years later, she leads a completely normal life. In Lama Fera — described as the fastest healing modality in the world — she shares the case of a man whose severe thyroid condition and multiple unexplained lumps in his neck disappeared entirely within five sessions. In Shamanism, she discusses healing an aborted soul whose energy was affecting the health of a sibling — causing repeated illness and accidents with no medical explanation.
Mediumship, Karma and the Art of Forgiveness
The conversation also covers mediumship — the practice of communicating with souls who have passed but not yet reached the light. Dr. Jain shares the case of a son who came to her wanting to know where his father’s property papers and cash were hidden. When she reached out to the father’s soul, he refused to speak — because his son had mistreated him in his final years and sent him to an old age home. Souls, she explains, become neutral after death. They speak only the truth.
The episode closes on the concept of Ho’oponopono — a four-phrase Hawaiian forgiveness prayer: I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. Used consistently, it releases emotional toxins stored in the body and can shift the energy of even the most difficult situations. As Dr. Jain puts it — karma always returns. The question is whether we want to keep adding to the cycle, or choose to end it through forgiveness.
